Katrina sat in one of the overstuffed chairs of Flourish and Blotts. She had already paid for the way overpriced book of the 'true' Shakespeare works. Nothing she hadn't already read. It still was interesting footnotes about the 'real' meanings, though she liked her own interpretations. She sipped her coffee, setting it down in front of her as she continued her in depth reading, her head bent down so her brown hair was covering her face. She was just getting into the good part of Much Ado About Nothing.

((hey flame, if you don't want to have characters in multiple threads, just say and I can delete my part in the thread...I asked Katrine and she said she didn't mind, so yeah...I just made it on a different date and all, k?))
Sirius wandered into Flourish & Blotts, a coffee in his hand, looking around for someone he knew. While no one imidiatly caught his eye, he did spot a girl sitting in a corner who he recognized as a girl in his year. She was always very quiet, which is probably why he didn't remember her name.
"Hi," Sirius said, walking over to her and sitting opposite her. "I hope you don't mind if I sit here. My name's Sirius. I think we're in the same year?"

Katrina looked up at him, she remembered him from school. It was Sirius if she remembered correctly, the player of Hogwarts as dubbed by her roommates at school. "I'm Katrina, Kat for short. I'm in your year and house as well." She said to him warmly, looking back down to her book and beginning to read it again. "And no, the seats free so you're welcome to take it."

"Thanks, Kat. Sorry, I probably should know you, shouldn't I? I mean, we're in the same year and the same house," Sirius said, sitting down and taking a sip of his coffee. He wasn't sure what he was doing in the bookshop, but since there was nothing else to do he might as well stay in there.
"So, Kat, you buying your Hogwarts stuff, or just escaping annoying parents?"

"I already bought my Hogwarts things," Kat said nonchalantly as she turned the page and continued into the story. "Not everyone come here to escape those two things you know. Some people just enjoy being in the bookstore." She was escaping her mother and her mothers family however. She didn't like Scotland, not one thing about it. How could her mother do that to her, pick Melanie over her first child. Melanie had started the fight.

Sirius let out a barklike laugh. "You sound like Remus. Bookstores are boring, unless you find a decent book with decent hexes in it," Sirius said in a voice, slouching back in his chair. He had to admit, although he wasn't a fan of bookshops, he did think the chairs were some of the most comfortable in London.
"What you reading?" he asked suddenly, peering over his coffee to look at her book.

"William Shakespeares play, Much Ado About Nothing." Katrina said, starting to become annoyed with the boy at all his constant questions. She had come to the bookstore to relax, not to amuse some boy who probably never read Shakespere in his life. She picked up her coffee and took a sip of it, moving her hair out of the way so it wouldn't fall in. "You're friends with James, Peter, and Remus arn't you? Lily as well..."

Sirius grinned. He wasn't exactly sure who this Shakespeare bloke was, but he must be some fancy bloke, because he had written a play and it was in a book and people actually cared about his writting. He was also grinning because he liked annoying people as much as just striking up conversation, and he was obviously annoying her.
"Yup. James, Remus, and Peter are my best friends. Evans not so much...she's a bit...bossy?" he responded, brushing his long hair back from his eyes and taking another sip of coffee.

"She's really smart, I admire her a lot." Kat said, turning another page. "Do you have somewhere to be? Because I'm not really very interesting and I just would like to get back to my book." She said, starting to become annoyed with this boys constant chatter. He sounded like Melanie.

Sirius raised an eyebrow. Maybe there was a reason he hadn't met this girl before today. She was a right old grump. "Actually, I don't. But I suppose I could leave. But you did say I could sit here. A problem. Also, I don't particularly want to leave, because this is the most comfortable seat I've sat in for a while," he mused to himself, grinning in his annoying way. He knew he was driving her mad, especially if she admired Lily Evans.

((it's fine. mind if I join? I'm assuming Remus is still staying with Sirius, and was just sleeping late. The only question is whether Remus is freaking out over something more than what they're currently doing...))

((I don't mind if you join, it would be fun))
Katrina glared at the boy over her book, taking another sip of her coffee before leaning back in her chair and going back to her book. She couldn't believe how infuriating this boy was, he was a huge trouble maker at school but she had thought maybe it was a front or so. It didn't look that way however, he seemed to enjoy pushing peoples buttons. "Well I'm not going to be of much interest to you then." She stated in a little snappishly.

Sirius could tell he was driving her insane, and not in the way that most girls liked. Although she hadn't outright told him to bugger off, so maybe he could keep annoying her. For some reason it was just too amusing to watch her wrinkle her nose at him. It reminded him of Lily.
"You're interesting enough," he replied after a pause, winking at her before leaning back further in his chair.

Katrina sat there reading for a little bit, though she felt uncomfterable knowing that Sirius was sitting across from her. She looked over her book finally, giving him a small glare, "Do you intend to do this all day? Because it's rather annoying just having someone sit and stare at you like there's something on your face." She snapped at him.
