Remus rolled his eyes. “Sure, and every girl you’ve dated hears some form of that. I’m not an idiot. That’s just an attempt to get me back to you.”
He didn’t want to go back to Sirius. Not yet. He was still angry, still ready to hurt something. He just wanted Sirius to go away, and let him deal with his anger on his own. He wasn’t in the mood to deal with Sirius, at all. Sirius was going to get a very pissed of Remus trying to hurt him if he stayed around much longer.

Sirius made a small noise that sounded like a mouse being stepped on, blinking back the tears that were forming in his eyes. He never cried. He hadn't cried since he was four, when he realized crying just made things worse. He swallowed loudly, blinked slowly one final time, and then smiled sardonically at Remus. He shouldn't have told him that. He shouldn't have, because now it hurt like hell.
"Okay. Okay, fine. If you think that that's just one of my lines...I don't just say things like that!" he burst out finally, glaring angrily at Remus, the sardonic smile still on his lips. "But...I suppose, you're entitled to think whatever the hell you want. Whatever." He glared at Remus a moment longer before stalking off into the rows of bookshelves. He knew that if he stayed, Remus would end up with a broken arm, just like Regulus had.

Sirius was fortunate to have walked away. Sirius might have tried to break Remus’ arm, Remus would probably have succeeded in tearing Sirius’ throat out. He realized he was still angry, and took off at a run, going flying past Sirius and several other people, to vanish into a nearby alleyway. He started kicking at nearby walls, and almost started attacking his own self, much the way he would have during a transformation. He was very, very out of control.

Sirius saw Remus run past him, gave him a look of contempt, then looked back down at his feet. He couldn't believe how unbelievably stupid this whole situation was. All because he had talked to Jess. He wasn't quite sure whose fault it was, but ever the one to plead innocence, he was pretty much convinced he would blame Remus, for now. Sure, he didn't have the best reputation, but he honestly ment it when he'd told Remus he loved him. He walked slowly out of the shop, standing just at the entrance of the alleyway where Remus was killing a wall.

Remus finally stopped his brutal attack on the wall, but only because he realized he wasn’t doing any damage. That wasn’t good enough. Without really thinking, he began to claw at and bite his own skin, hissing in pain occasionally, but not making much in the way of noise. He didn’t want anyone to hear, and that’s all his conscious mind was able to put into act. The rest of his actions were purely animal instinct.

Sirius was quite happy to watch the wall take the full force of Remus' anger, but he couldn't stand that he was hurting himself. He knew that he did it during the transformations, but even then he'd interfere as Padfoot. And if he could take on a werewolf, he could stop Remus from hurting himself.
He ran over to him, grabbing his wrists and holding them away from him with all his strength. "Remus, Remus, stop. It's okay, stop..." he said, rather sternly, hoping to instil some sort of sense in him.

Remus almost screamed at Sirius for stopping him. Almost. However, part of him knew that it would draw attention, and that would be bad. Instead, he attempted to try and scratch or bite Sirius. Neither succeeded, because of the tight hold on his wrist. After a few moments of struggling, the wolf realized it had been defeated, and submitted. When Remus finally returned to full conscious control, he let himself relax, to show Sirius he wasn’t going to do himself anymore damage. Apparently Sirius cared at least a little. He doubted it was love, but it was certainly friendship. He wasn’t certain that was what he wanted right now.

Sirius, realizing that he had calmed Remus down slightly, he leaned forwards and kissed him softly on the lips. It was a brief kiss, however, as he knew Remus might be liable to bite him if they stayed lip-locked for too long. He pulled away, smiled slightly sadly, his hands still holding Remus' arms firmly down.

Sirius was fortunate to have pulled away when he did, because Remus had tried to bite him for it. He would have hit him, but his arms were trapped. He growled angrily, wishing he could hurt Sirius. The kiss had triggered the angry side of him again. He managed to get one of his arms free, and it was wrapped around Sirius’ throat before he managed to get a grip on his mind again. He hadn’t yet begun to try to block off the air, fortunately.
His hand dropped to his side, and he looked away. He didn’t want to forgive Sirius. He really didn’t. Yet, everything Sirius did appealed to the human side of him. It angered the wolfish side, but that was typical. The wolf didn’t like anything. He realized abruptly that his lip was bleeding from where he was biting it.

Sirius didn't try to fight it when Remus' hand moved to around his neck. He knew that if worst came to worst he could kick Remus off, but Remus seemed to want to control himself. Maybe this was a bad idea, but it's the only thing he could think of saying. "Remus, if you need to, you know, take out your anger on someone...just hit me now...okay? I'm sure I can, you know, deal with the pain, or whatever. Don't keep killing yourself over it," he muttered, letting go of Remus' other hand and waiting for him to hit him.

“Go away,” hissed Remus. He didn’t know how to deal with Sirius right now, but it would definitely be badly. He would leave Sirius as damaged as Sirius’ parents typically did, or worse. It might be emotional, it might be mental, but it would definitely be something damaging. He knew it wasn’t a good idea.
“Goawaygoawaygoawaygoawaygoawaygoaway…” he started repeating the phrase, hoping to get Sirius to leave before he lashed out.

Sirius shook his head, closing his eyes and clentching his jaw. He could deal with it. He could live with a few more injuries, if it meant Remus forgave him. He wasn't entirely sure if this was a form of love he'd never known before, or if it was just his friendship that was making him act like a complete idiot, but whatever it was he was going to listen to it, because it seemed telling Remus what he hadn't done made no sense, so he may as well let him get it out of his system.

Remus didn’t attack Sirius, though. Somehow, the human managed to prevent the wolf from doing that. However, the attack had to go somewhere. Unfortunately for his already much abused body, it turned inwards. Within a few seconds, there were gashes across his arms and stomach, even through his clothing. His nails weren’t very long, but properly applied, they did the trick. There was almost unquestionably some sort of magic behind it as well, though, but it was lycanthropic magic, not wizarding.

Sirius stood still for a moment, waiting for a hit. He opened his eyes and saw Remus viciously abusing himself. Immideatly he jumped forwards and grabbed his boyfriend's--that's what he hoped he was anyway--arm, stopping him from causing further harm.
"Remus, please, stop it," he pleaded, all hint of demand leaving his voice. He just wanted him to stop hurting himself.

Remus tore his arm away from Sirius, leaving a faint trail of Remus’ blood on his hand from where the blood covered hand left traces. He growled angrily at Sirius, and moved away from him so that he couldn’t stop him again.
“What do you care?”
