"I care because...well, I told you why before, but you don't believe me, do you? But I hate to see you hurt, and I can't stand it, so don't hurt yourself, okay? Stop it, if you're really angry with me, hurt me, punch me...I'm used to it anyway," he said, his voice strong, looking directly at Remus. He didn't care right now what happened to him, but he didn't want Remus to hurt himself anymore.

“Oh for god’s sake, just GO AWAY.” Remus was forceful, but not loud. He didn’t want to deal with Sirius, and apparently Sirius didn’t realize that his presence was the reason for the need to hurt something. He glared at Sirius, his eyes bright and angry.

"Why? Because you thought I was flirting with someone, because you don't think that I could ever be faithful to jusy one person? That maybe the reason why I was always sleeping around is because every time I was around you, I got increadibly turned on and there is only so much I can deal with? Fine, I'll go away, if you promise to stop killing yourself, because it frankly hurts me just thinking about you being hurt!" Sirius shouted at the top of his voice, forgetting that he was trying not to tell Remus about that part of the story. Now he was vunerable...again. He turned away from Remus and started slowly walking down the alley.

Remus didn’t stop him. Remus need him to leave. He was totally willing to believe Sirius at this point, even tell him that he loved him. The wolf wouldn’t let him, though. The wolf forced him to glare at Sirius’ back in case Sirius turned around again. The wolf couldn’t stop him, though, from whispering the three words Sirius want to hear. “I love you…”
But as soon as the words had managed to escape him, the wolf turned against him again, and a moment later, there was a shallow gash on his neck. He hissed in pain.

Sirius spun around at those words, took three long strides towards Remus, and kissed Remus soundly on the lips, ignoring all the signs that Remus was about ready to kill him. He really couldn't care less, because all that mattered was that he was confused, and that kissing Remus made the most sense in the world at that moment. After all, if he didn't kiss him, he was likely to keep on talking, and that would just confuse him some more.

Remus’ poor body and mind were finally at the point where they couldn’t handle anymore. He collapsed against Sirius, totally unconscious. He hadn’t lost much blood, and the cuts had closed up, but the sensations, and the struggle against the wolf had become too much. He was totally out.

Sirius was quite confused when Remus collapsed in his arms. He wasn't quite sure what he should do, only that it probably didn't look that innocent, holding a boy a lot smaller than him in his arms who was passed out in an alleyway. He hoisted Remus up a little, amazed at how light he really was, and walked down another alleyway that he knew lead back to the Leaky Cauldron.
He opened the back door, snuck up the stairs, Remus still in his arms, and opened the door to his room. He put Remus down on the bed, smoothing some of his hair out of his closed eyes, and moved over to sit on the chair near the bed.

Remus woke slowly, his eyes blinking open, and his body shifting around slightly. He was a slow waker, so the process took a few minutes. When his eyes had refocused, and he could see properly again, he looked around. His eyes landed immediately on Sirius, and one hand reached out for the other boy.
“I’m sorry…” he whispered. “The wolf doesn’t want to trust you…”

Sirius grinned at him and waved his excuse away. "Well, the wolf will just have to deal with me in human form as well as in dog form. Because I'm not buggering off, okay?" he said, laughing a little. Right on que, Sirius' stomach gave a loud rumble, quite ruining the moment.
"Er...d'you want to go down and get some breakfast?" he asked, grinning.

Remus shook his head. “Have them send some… I don’t want to get out of bed.” He was curled up tightly in the bed, and still shivering a little. The amount of energy that he had burned from attacking the wall and himself, plus collapsing, had left him freezing cold.

Sirius looked at Remus, a look of concern on his face. "Okay...what would you like?" he asked, climbing into bed next to Remus and curling himself around him before pulling the covers over both of them in an attempt to warm him up.

Remus shrugged. He snuggled against Sirius until he could feel Sirius’ body heat starting to penetrate the cold. He smiled, and started to relax, and stop shaking. At the same time, he considered Sirius’ question. “Can it wait? I’m comfortable.”

"Yeah, it can wait," Sirius responded, quite surprising himself. Usually nothing got in the way of food. It seemed, however, Sirius had found something that he liked more than food: Remus. He moved his arms to Remus' waist, pulling him against him and cuddling him, bringing his lips softly to his neck and kissing him. It was kind of nice, just laying there together.

Remus growled when he got kissed on the neck, and pulled away. His eyes were momentarily inhuman, but they faded back to his normal shy emotion behind it. He blushed, and looked away for a moment before looking back. “I’m sorry… the wolf really isn’t happy, and I can’t stop it.”

Sirius moved away from him a little, trying to understand that the wolf obviously didn't like him too much, and that any snogging would probably have to wait until he...the wolf, that was, had calmed down a little. "Er...it's okay," Sirius mumbled, still slightly confused. He was slowly getting used to being confused, however, as it seemed to be his constant state as of right now.
"Does the wolf mind hugs?" he asked tentitivly, still a safe distance away from Remus. While he would rather get beaten up himself than see Remus hurting himself, he still quite liked to go through life unscathed.
